Facade of Las Palmas Building (2)
Facade of the former workshop of the Holland-America Line (HAL) Las Palmas of architects Van den Broek and Bakema, which dates from the early fifties. Recently Las Palmas has been in use as the home of Club Las Palmas. Right now Las Palmas is being reconstructed into a cultural center (Las Palmas Culture), which will be the home of, among others, the Image Factory and the Dutch Photo Museum (Nederlands Fotomuseum). Furthermore, some penthouses will be added to the construction too. Photo shot from the Otto Reuchlinweg. Visibible on the back: Hotel New York.
