Facade of Las Palmas Building, Rotterdam

Facade of Las Palmas Building
Facade (Southside) of the former workshop of the Holland-America Line (HAL) Las Palmas against a hard blue sky. Designed by Van den Broek and Bakema in the early fifties. Recently Las Palmas has been in use as the home of Club Las Palmas. Right now Las Palmas is being reconstructed into a cultural center (Las Palmas Culture), which will be the home of, among others, the Image Factory and the Dutch Photo Museum (Nederlands Fotomuseum). Furthermore, some penthouses will be added to the construction too. Photo shot from the Otto Reuchlinweg.
